Copy Constructor Stack

Tune one rig, copy it to the rest.

When to use it #

You tuned one row or button: Ingestor, Falloff, constructors, animation. The other rows should do the same, maybe offset in time. Blender’s own Copy Modifiers cannot do this. It points every target at the source’s collection, and it cannot copy modifier keyframes.

Steps #

  1. Select the target rigs.
  2. Ctrl-click the tuned rig last, so it is the active object. Active is the source.
  3. Ordimus tab > Helpers > Copy Constructor Stack.
  4. Check the dialog and press OK.

The button is grayed out unless you are in Object Mode with two or more objects selected.

What gets copied #

  • Every modifier above the rig’s base modifier: the Ingestor, Falloffs and constructors.
  • The keyframes on those modifiers.
  • Modifier names stay identical, so the keyframe paths carry over exactly.

Each target keeps its own base modifier and its own source set. Node groups are shared: a later fix to a group reaches every copy.

Options #

Option What it does
Copy Keyframes Also copies the modifier keyframes. On by default
Replace Existing Removes any constructor stack already on the targets first
Falloff Naming What the copied Falloff names become. See below
Create Vertex Groups Creates the vertex group when a renamed Falloff reads Mesh Points

Falloff Naming #

The dialog shows the new Falloff name for every target in an editable list before anything is written.

Mode Result Use it when
Verbatim (default) Names unchanged. Every target uses the same Falloff Rows move together, in sync
From Target Name Prefix with the target’s initials: Menu_Item_Group Extruded gives MIG_Falloff Each row needs its own Falloff
New Base Name A name you type, numbered per target: Base_01, Base_02 You want your own naming
Enumerate The source’s name, numbered: Falloff_01, Falloff_02 Separate Falloffs, simple numbers
  • Targets that reduce to the same initials are numbered automatically.
  • Names are matched by value, so every place that holds the old name is rewritten, including the picker on each constructor.
  • Modifier names are never renamed.

If you see X, do Y

Every row moves together after the copy? Falloff Naming was Verbatim. Undo, pick another mode and copy again.

The status bar reports Copied 3 modifier(s) from 'Button_01_Group' onto 3 object(s), 9 keyframe channel(s).
